Mario Mandzukic Leaves Juventus For Qatar Club Al-Duhail

Qatar Club Al-Duhail has confirmed the signing of Striker Mario Mandzukic from Juventus.

Al-Duhail paid €7 million for Mandzukic, who had a contract with Juve which expires at the end of next season.

Al-Duhail announced the news of the transfer on social media evening.

The club wrote on Twitter: “Welcome to Al-Duhail, Mario Mandzukic."

Al-Duhail will hope Mandzukic lead them into winning the Qatar Stars League title this season after an impressive start which leaves them top of the league after 11 matches.

33-year-old Mandzukic joined Juventus in 2015 from Atletico Madrid and spent four and a half seasons at the Serie A club.

Mandzukic scored 44 goals in 164 appearances for Juventus over his four year stay.

Mandzukic was completely frozen out by new Juventus Coach Maurizio Sarri and failed to make a single appearance for the Italian champions in the current 2019-20 season.

Qatari clubs Al Rayyan SC and Al Gharafa SC were also linked with Mandzukic before, but Al Duhail have snapped up the Croatia international with a signed contract agreement.
