Liverpool 5-2 Everton, Origi Hits Brace & Mane, Shaqiri Also On Target

A brace from Divock Origi and goals from Xherdan Shaqiri and Sadio Mane had given Liverpool a commanding lead before Richarlison scored to keep Everton in contention.

The Belgian forward latched onto Sadio Mane's pass, before rounding Jordan Pickford to score.

Liverpool were soon two-up, as Mane again grabbed an assist to set up Xherdan Shaqiri to slot home from close range.

Michael Keane then reduced the deficit for the visitors, reacting to Dejan Lovren's failed clearance to finish past Adrian in the Liverpool goal.

Origi then bagged the goal of the half, plucking Lovren's long ball out of the air before lobbing it over a stranded Pickford for his second.

Liverpool was ruthless going forward, and it was typified by Mane's finish, who coolly curled a shot into the corner from the edge of the box to put his side out in front.

But Everton ensured there was still something to play for in the second half, as Richarlison diverted Bernard's cross in with just seconds to go before the break.

With no.1 goalkeeper Alisson suspended, Klopp is forced to start deputy Adrian between the sticks, but has also made some huge calls elsewhere in the line-up.
