Chelsea Star Tammy Abraham New Contract Talks Stall Over Teammate Salary

Chelsea Striker Tammy Abraham is yet to sign a new contract because the club don't plan to meet his demands. Abraham started this 2019-20 season as Frank Lampard's first choice Striker and has proved his worth ever since.

The sole striker had a slow start at first but Abraham soon showed his quality with seven goals in just three matches.

His fantastic goal form has continued till today, with only two players managing more goals than him which are Aubameyang and Jamie Vardy.

The 22-year-old has also likely to be part of the England squad for the 2020 European Championships having now had four caps for England and scoring a goal during this time.

And Chelsea are desperate to agree new teams with the striker to keep him at the club on a new long-term deal
His current contract expires in 2022 and he currently earns £50,000-a-week which is shocking a player at Chelsea.

However, Abraham wants a huge pay rise before signing a new contract.

Callum Hudson-Odoi was recently given with a huge deal worth £180,000 per week and he wants a contract similar to that agreed.

But Chelsea are reluctant to meet his demands, especially due the fact the January transfer window opens tomorrow.

The club were previously unable to sign any players in the summer due to a transfer ban, but it has now been lifted for the mid-season window and a number of top players are on their radar.

Moussa Dembele and Timo Werner are both targets for Chelsea, which could be a huge problem for Abraham’s position as Chelsea’s first-choice striker.

Abraham finally ended his goalless run against the 'big six' at the weekend after Chelsea secured a 2-1 Comeback win over Arsenal.
