Tottenham Boss Jose Mourinho Eyes Huge Zlatan Ibrahimovic Reunion.

New Tottenham Coach Jose Mourinho is eyeing Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic as his first free signing for Spurs. Ibrahimovic is available on a free transfer after leaving LA Galaxy upon the expiry of his contract.

It would not be the first time Mourinho has signed Ibrahimovic, after he brought the striker to Manchester United in 2016.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Mourinho is seriously considering hijacking AC Milan’s attempts to re-sign their former player.

The Italian club have already held a meeting with his agent Mino Raiola about potentially bringing him back to the San Siro.

Sky Italia journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted earlier this week: “AC Milan today had a meeting with Mino Raiola for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. They asked for Ibra situation.

“Zlatan will decide about his future on next weeks and nothing has been agreed yet - just talks have started between Milan and Ibra for a possible comeback.”

Napoli and Bologna have also been linked with moves for Ibrahimovic, who is keen on a return to Italy where he has spent time with both Milan clubs and Juventus throughout his career.

Mourinho also managed Ibrahimovic at Inter Milan before he moved to Barcelona as part of an exchange for Samuel Eto’o.

The Special One has a close relationship with Ibrahimovic and has remained in contact with the star ever since he left United.

Tottenham are in need of replacing Fernando Llorente, who left upon the expiry of his contract last summer.

Ibrahimovic could now play understudy to Harry Kane and provide some extra experience in the Spurs dressing room.

United have already ruled out re-signing the striker, despite their need for an experienced striker.

Mourinho’s priority is thought to be sorting out the Tottenham defense, but he knows the opportunity to sign a player with the pedigree of Ibrahimovic does not come around often.
