The Fans Are Angry - Arsenal Coach Unai Emery Responds To Sack Rumours

Arsenal Coach Unai Emery has admitted that the players have made fans at the club angry after weeks of poor performances. Arsenal are winless in six matches across all competitions since beating Vitoria Guimaraes at the Emirates in October, drawing five times and losing to Sheffield United.

Former Paris Saint-Germain and Sevilla boss Emery has opened up on his team’s recent struggles, and asked supporters to show belief in his players.

He said before the visit of Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday: “They [the fans] are angry and disappointed, as well we are.”

The Spaniard went on to outline why he and the team can begin to put their season back on track with a win in the Europa League on Thursday.

He continued: “We have a very good opportunity to do that.

“Each match here in the Emirates is very important for that.

“The players need to feel backing them.”

He added: “We know the last match we were disappointed and the supporters also.

“My only focus is to show tomorrow our performance and connect with our supporters.

“We know our supporters are disappointed... it’s really, really our focus [to change that].

“My wish is tomorrow every supporter helps the team and helps the players.”
