PSG Begin Talks With Kylian Mbappe Over New Massive Contract Deal

Paris Saint-Germain have started talks with forward Kylian Mbappe about a new contract, hoping he would stay at the French club. Mbappe signed a five-year contract deal with PSG in 2017 and has been linked with some top European clubs ever since.

According to French Newspaper L'Equipe, PSG sporting director Leonardo has made Mbappe his main priority above all else.

The 20-year-old has led the forward line for PSG over the last 12 months during the prolonged absence of fellow superstar Neymar.

The Brazilian agitated heavily for a move back to Spanish football over the summer, but failed to seal a dream return to Barcelona.

Neymar is widely expected to leave at the end of the season, making Mbappe the undisputed top man at the Parc Des Princes.

Any potential new deal signed by Mbappe is poised to make him one of the best payed footballers of all time.

Mbappe reportedly earns £17.6million (€20.7m) per year before tax on his current deal in Paris, but still sits behind Neymar in the salary stakes.

The World Cup winner continues to be linked with Real Madrid, to play under fellow Frenchman Zinedine Zidane.
