And while it might have been expected that there would be tension between Klopp and Guardiola after, the Liverpool manager wanted to make it clear there was not with his response.
A reporter asked Klopp, 'Did you speak with Pep?', while mispronouncing his first name.
The German responded: 'Pepe? Who is Pepe?'
After it was explained that he meant Pep Guardiola, Klopp laughed and said: 'Of course we spoke, why shouldn't we speak?'
Then, after he spotted him coming around the corner he whispered: 'Pep Guardiola is coming!'
Klopp then decided to jokingly run off camera as Guardiola came onto the scene.
