Ndidi Set To Make 100th EPL Appearance For Leicester Vs Brighton

Wilfred Ndidi is set to join the exclusive list of Nigerian players who have made 100 appearances in the English Premier League. Ndidi has featured in 99 Premier League games for Leicester City since his arrival from Belgian club, KRC Genk in January 2017 and has scored six times.

The 22-year-old, barring any unforseen circumstances, will feature in his 100th game for The Foxes in the home clash against Brighton & Hove Albion at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Nwankwo Kanu, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Joseph Yobo, John Mikel Obi, Victor Moses and Alex Iwobi are the Nigerian players who have made a centurion of appearances in the Premier League.

Ndidi linked up with the then Premier League champions in January 2017 from Genk for £17m.

He made his debut for the club on January 7, 2017 in a 2–1 win against Everton in the third round of the FA Cup.

The former Nigeria youth international made his first Premier League start seven days later in a 3–0 defeat home defeat to Chelsea.
