Deontay Wilder Hits Hard, But He's No Mike Tyson - George Foreman Says

With fans alike currently debating if Deontay Wilder has a harder punch than Mike Tyson, George Foreman believes Tyson was too far ahead of Wilder.

After Deontay Wilder's amazing knockout against Luis Ortiz earlier this Month, many fans and Pundits have been debating if Wilder has the strongest punch Boxing has ever seen.

However, Boxing legend George Foreman believes that Wilder is still behind a few legends, including Iron Mike Tyson.

When asked about Wilder's power, Foreman had this to say about the Bronze Bomber:

"He's good but he hasn't approached Joe Lewis, Joe Frazier, Mike Tyson. No, he hasn't approached that kind of recognition yet. No way."

Foreman went on to say that Wilder needs a big win against a top Boxer to cement himself among the elite. Wilder was only able to draw against his best opponent, Tyson Fury.

"For me, he has to have a performance like Mike Tyson did over Trevor Berbick. Boy, when I saw that, I was down visiting Vegas, and I thought, 'This guy is a nightmare!'."

The former Heavyweight Champion of the World also said he cant wait to see Fury-Wilder 2:

"I think the Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury rematch would be one of the greatest of all time. Not just today, but of all time. If I see that fight, I would say Deontay Wilder has moved up in status and whoever wins the fight will probably be one of the greatest heavyweights of all time."

Wilder-Fury 2 is reportedly set to take place in the USA in February 2020. Fury has already claimed that the rematch has signed and will happen February 22nd, 2020.
