Chelsea Is My Club" - Michy Batshuayi "Happy" Despite Lack Of Playing Time

Michy Batshuayi has spoken about his future after concerns over his lack of playing time at Chelsea in recent weeks. Batshuayi has now insisted that he is happy at the London club despite being behind Tammy Abraham in the pecking order.

After Chelsea's 12 matches in the leagues so far, Batshuayi is yet to start any game and has been used 7 times off the bench.

He scored in the 4-1 win against Southampton last month and has also scored thrice in the League cup.

His counterpart Abraham has been on fire so far this season for Chelsea, scoring 10 league goals in 12 matches.

Due to this, both Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud have been forced to sit and watch from the sidelines, but the Belgian star insists he isjust happy to be at the club.

“I have never been a full-fledged starter, but Chelsea is my club,” he said.

“That's where I feel at home.

“It's a club I love deeply.”

Batshuayi also discussed his temperament and discipline, as he admitted he has had problems in the past, but is trying to work on his “seriousness”.

He added: “When I was young, it’s true that I had some problems of discipline.

“But what young person doesn’t? Today, I’m 26 years old, I can channel myself and I work at training and in the game.
“I’m playful, but I choose my moments: at 0-0 I’m going to be serious, at 2 or 3-0 I’m going to play it up.

“Being cool is part of my personality.

“But it’s true: the pressure of football imposes the need to perform and win.

“The competition is raging, and seriousness is needed.”
