Tyson Fury Explains Why He Wants Anthony Joshua To Beat Andy Ruiz Jr

Tyson Fury wants Anthony Joshua to win his crunch heavyweight rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr so it can set up a massive fight with him.

Joshua has the chance to reclaim the heavyweight world titles when he meets Ruiz Jr on December 7 in Saudi Arabia.

And ahead of their second meeting, Fury has admitted he's rooting for his British counterpart.

The self-proclaimed 'Gypsy King' hopes 'AJ' gets his belts back to revive a potential mega showdown between the pair of heavyweights, but he'll happily "beat up" Ruiz Jr if he pulls off the win again.

"I hope he gets his belts back because it makes a massive fight between me and him. But if he doesn't then I will just have to go and beat up Andy Ruiz Jr," Fury said.

"If Deontay loses in November against Luis Ortiz, I would take the winner of AJ vs Ruiz Jr in February or March."

Both Ruiz Jr and Joshua appear to be slimming down ahead of their fight and Fury has noticed their body transformation.

"They have both lost quite a bit of weight and I think it will be a fantastic fight, the first one was although it did not go the way everyone was expecting," he added.

"These big upset-rematches are always great to watch."

Mike Tyson has also weighed in on Ruiz Jr's weight loss and he has slammed the unified heavyweight champion.

"There have been rumours he has lost weight," 'Iron' Mike explained. "I don't like that. I believe losing the weight can affect power sometimes.

"If it's not broken, don't fix it. He did well at that weight, so he should stay at that weight.

"In the first fight, Ruiz put the pressure on him so fast that he didn't know what to anticipate. And there were some hard punches."
