Top Players Whose Contracts Finish At The End Of The Season

Everyone loves a bargain and there's certainly going to be some very good ones to be had at the end of the season with this out of contract XI showing who can be signed.

It might only be the beginning of October but some players are already playing as if they've moved elsewhere and come January this lot can start negotiating to move for free in the summer.

In goal Gianluigi Buffon might have only just re-joined Juventus this season but if the Old Lady decide they don't want that deal to go over a year and he fancies another crack at Champions League glory then he could be a good signing.

Walter Benitez was statistically one of the best keepers in Europe and at just 26-year-old the Nice number one would be a great free signing.

There's plenty of options across the defence and Spurs centre back pairing of Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld stand out, even if their form for the Premier League side so far isn't great.

On the continent Thiago Silva might be slightly past the peak of his powers but his experience isn't something to turn your nose up, whilst Stefan Savic has become Atletico Madrid's go to centre back since Diego Godin left for Inter.

No one will be surprised to see Christian Eriksen in the team, everyone knows that the Spurs midfielder wanting to leave is the reason that the north London side aren't doing that well this season.

The Dane wanted to leave in the summer, with rumours of a move to Real Madrid, but he ended up staying with Mauricio Pochettino's side. It wouldn't be a shock if he left in January but he'll definitely be gone next summer.

There's no shortage of creative players around Eriksen for anyone who needs a midfielder, with Luka Modric, Mario Gotze and David Silva all available too.

Ryan Fraser at Bournemouth could yet sign a new deal with the Premier League side but he's also been linked with a move to Arsenal, and elsewhere.

Up front Edinson Cavani might be the player who loses out of PSG's ridiculous amount of striker options but he won't be short of offers should he not get a new contract in Paris.
