Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Verbally Abused By Arsenal Fans Following Crystal Palace Draw

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was verbally abused by Arsenal fans following their draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday night.

A video has emerged on Twitter of the Gabonese forward sat in his Lamborghini Aventador as Arsenal supporters surround it hurling abuse.

One fan can be heard shouting: "£2,000 a year to watch s***... f*** off!"

Another adds: "These people pay £1,800 for a season ticket... they are your support!"

Harsh words for Aubameyang who has been one of the most clinical strikers in the Premier League since his arrival.

Since signing from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018, Aubameyang has scored 49 goals in 76 games.

Without his goals this season, Unai Emery's side would be 19th in the Premier League table and battling relegation.

Tensions are still high in the Arsenal camp following Granit Xhaka's outburst during Sunday's game.

Xhaka's subsitution was met with cheers and the Arsenal captain responded by telling Gunners fans to 'f**k off'.

Emery has confirmed that Xhaka won't play any part in tonight's Carabao Cup tie with league leaders Liverpool.

The Arsenal boss has said Xhaka is 'devastated' about the whole situation.

Per The Daily Mail, Emery said in his press conference yesterday:

"This morning, he trained as normal with the group but he is devastated and he is sad about the situation.

"His commitment with the club is a great commitment every time. He wants to help.

"His behaviour was perfect in training, with the group and with the club. He knows he was wrong. He was wrong and he feels it inside very deeply. But that is normal as a human."

Regardless of what fans think of the Xhaka situation, that spilling over into abuse of Aubameyang seems very harsh.
