Ndidi Playing A Starring Role In Leicester Premier League Success

Leicester City won the Premier League during the 2015/16 season and many saw that as one of the Premier League’s biggest ever shocks. They failed to live up to that title success in the couple of years after, but since bringing manager Brendan Rodgers to the club things have changed.

This season, Leicester have been nothing short of fantastic, something that was highlighted by a recent 9-0 victory over Southampton. They are a team that most people have down as the team most likely to break into the top six this season and knock one of the bigger clubs out but with how they have started, the top four is quickly becoming a realistic aim for The Foxes.

When you look down the many Premier League winners of the past, every team has a player in the same mould as Ndidi, someone who does a lot of work to get the ball back, and someone who can be relied upon while others are bombing forward and leaving themselves out of position. He isn’t the one grabbing the headlines, but more often than not he will be the first name on the team sheet.

He arrived at Leicester back in 2017, signing from Genk for a fee of over £15 million. He was a youngster back then, but that deal looks to be a very good one right now, and should he ever move from Leicester there is no doubt he would command a significant return from the buying club.

His performances will no doubt have attracted the eyes of many, both in the Premier League and in Europe. He is exactly the kind of player that Manchester United would love in their team right now and further afield, he would be a nice fit at a team like Real Madrid, who need someone like him to look after things while others move forward and attack.

That of course won’t be easy, but right now it is safe to say that there are not four clubs in the Premier League who are playing better than Leicester.
