Willian Confronted Ross Barkley Over Chelsea Penalty Before He Blazed Over


Ross Barkley and Willian had a stand-off over Chelsea's missed penalty against Valencia at Stamford Bridge.

The English midfielder sent his Brazilian team-mate away before blazing over from the spot in the 87th minute.

Barkley, 25, was left red-faced as Chelsea fell to a 1-0 defeat in their opening Champions League clash at Stamford Bridge.

Barkley stood over the ball from the outset before Tammy Abraham and Willian came over to talk it over.

Abraham moved away straight away, but Brazilian Willian needed more convincing to let Barkley take the spot-kick.

The former Everton midfielder even gave Willian some hand gestures to tell him to relax and he's got this, but was left embarrassed.

Barkley put his penalty over the bar, and Frank Lampard's men were beaten 1-0 by the Spanish side.

Rodrigo scored the winner for in the 74th minute of the Group H clash on Tuesday night.

Lampard also lost Mason Mount to injury in the first half after a horror tackle from Francis Coquelin.

Chelsea host Premier League leaders Liverpool on Sunday in their next outing.
