The Italy full-back returns to his homeland after four years at Old Trafford.
Parma has completed a deadline day deal to sign Italy defender Matteo Darmian from Manchester United on a five-year contract. The 29-year-old heads back to Serie A in a deal understood to be worth around €4 million (£3.6m/$4.3m) plus a sell-on fee.
Darmian was signed from Torino by Louis van Gaal in the summer of 2015 for a reported fee in the region of £12.7 million ($15.3m).
