Akpeyi Named Man Of The Match In Kaizer Chiefs’ Hard Fought Home Win Vs Baroka

Nigeria goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi was voted man in Kaizer Chiefs’  1-0 win against Baroka FC in their Absa Premiership clash at the FNB Stadium, Johannesburg on Saturday night. Akpeyi replaced injured Bafana Bafana of South Africa goalie, Itumeleng Khune on 26 minutes.

The 33-year-old announced his arrival in fine style two minutes later with a point-blank save from Richard  Mbulu’s diving header.
Akpeyi was forced into a couple saves from point blank range, but the former Warri Wolves  shot-stopper weren’t troubled handling situation effectively instead.
The game was his fifth league appearance for Ernst Middendorp’s men this season.
Lebogang Manyama’s first half strike was enough to hand Kaizer Chiefs all three points in the game.
