#WoodwardOut Trends On Twitter As Ed Woodward Is Slated By Furious Manchester United Fans

Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has been placed directly in the firing line by angry fans over the club's failure to sign more players in the transfer window.

The Red Devils smashed the world-record fee for a defender when they snapped up Harry Maguire, 26, from Leicester City for £80m on Monday.

And United also splashed out £50m to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace and Daniel James from Swansea City for £15m.

Fans are disappointed that the Premier League side have missed out on other high-profile acquisitions like Juventus star Paulo Dybala and Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

Woodward, 47, has become a controversial figure at United and has divided fans over his handling of transfers in recent seasons.

Red Devils fans aren't expecting the club to make any more signings this summer and have flocked to Twitter to voice their frustrations at the United executive vice-chairman.
