Renato Sanches is to get his desired move away from Bayern Munich, with the Portugal international on the verge of signing for French side Lille in a €25 million move.
According to RMC Sport, Sanches is travelling to France to undergo a medical today. The 22-year old is to sign a five-year contract and will become Lille's club-record transfer.
Last week. Sanches expressed his desire to leave the club following a brief cameo in the 2-2 draw with Hertha Berlin.
"This is not a good situation for me," he told Sport 1.
"It is the second time that I want to join another club. But they will not let me go. 5 minutes are not enough for me."
Sanches was then hit with a €10,000 fine fine for his comments but Bayern CEO Karl Heinz-Rummenigge stated that the former Golden Boy winner would not be allowed to leave as the club.
However, with the former Benfica youngster growing tired of a lack of game-time, and the arrival of Philippe Coutinho, he is now being granted a transfer away as he looks to get his career back on track.
Sanches, a Golden Boy award winner and European Championship winner in 2016, joined Bayern from Benfica for an initial €35 million but failed to get going in Bavaria.
A loan to Swansea City in the Premier League in 2017/18 promised to aid his development but ended up seeing him ridiculed for passing to a Carabao advertising board instead of a teammate during a game at Stamford Bridge.
