Stuart Dallas covered in blood after being caught in the face by Man Utd forward Anthony Martial

Leeds star Stuart Dallas was covered in blood after being punched in the face by Anthony Martial in a pre-season 4-0 defeat by Manchester United.

The play was briefly stopped before the Whites midfielder was hauled off the pitch and replaced by Bryce Hosannah.

Dallas suffered a nasty cut above his eye after being accidentally caught in the face by Martial in the second half.

And he left him bloodied on the pitch, forcing Marcelo Bielsa to make a change and send Hosannah on to replace him.

That came as another blow for the Whites boss as Leeds were already losing 3-0 when he lost his star to the injury.

Martial then went on to settle the result at 4-0, netting from the spot with 20 minutes to go.

Mason Greenwood opened the scoring before Marcus Rashford and Phil Jones also got on the scoresheet.

Bielsa's men lost their first game this summer.

They beat two sixth-tier sides last week, defeating York City 5-0 and Guiseley 2-1.
