Robbie Savage’s son Charlie, 16, has been part of the academy for a number of years, following in his dad's footsteps as a central midfielder.
But next season he will make the step up to the Under-18s as one of the club's first-year scholars.
And father Robbie tweeted to congratulate the older of his two sons.
He said: "So proud of @charliesavage48 starting as a 1st year scholar at the biggest club in the world.
"Dedication, desire and sacrifices to get to this point! Now the hard work starts."
