Eden Hazard’s brother Thorgan joins Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund have completed the £25million signing of Eden Hazard's brother Thorgan.

The Belgium international, 26, joins from Bundesliga rivals Borussia Monchengladbach.

And Hazard has signed a lucrative four-year contract as a reward for his barnstorming form in German football.

The former Chelsea midfielder, who failed to make a single senior appearance at Stamford Bridge, joined Gladbach in 2014 on an initial loan deal before making the move permanent a year later for £6m.

Hazard scored 46 goals and assisted a further 44 during 176 appearances across five years.

And he has now joined Dortmund as a direct replacement for Christian Pulisic, who has gone to Chelsea for £58m to fill in for Thorgan's brother, Real Madrid-bound Eden Hazard.

Champions League finalists Liverpool and Europa League hopefuls Arsenal had both been tipped to make bids, but it's Dortmund who have won the race for Hazard's coveted signature.
